I joined the BSAC in 1999 and am a member of Tameside Divers. I became involved in snorkelling as a result of my son wanting to learn to snorkel properly. I am currently the Training Officer of the branch. I soon became a Snorkel Instructor and took on the role of North West Regional Advisor. Unlike many advisors I was first qualified as a snorkeller. I was a Sports Diver until recently when he had to give up scuba due to medical reasons, but still snorkel, I also act as Diver Cox during dives.
I am a Snorkel Instructor Trainer and a member of BSAC Council.
