| COURSE OUTLINE |
This course is
intended for Basic Snorkel Divers who wish to progress with pool training
to be proficient in the basic snorkelling skills in readiness for open
water snorkelling. The course should take about 3 hours and can be run
as an in-branch course over a series of sessions.

| Students |
Students should:
• Complete a satisfactory medical
declaration
• Provide parental consent, if a minor

| Instructors |
The Instructors delivering this
course must hold the minimum of BSAC Snorkel Instructor.
|
Instructor/Student
ratio |
The recommended instructor to student
ratio is 1:12 for both theory and practical lessons. This ration may
be reduced to 1:6 for practical pool teaching sessions if the instructor
is less experienced.

| Equipment |
Students are expected to provide
their own basic snorkelling equipment unless other arrangements have
been made with the snorkel instructor.

The cost of the course is determined by the branch offering
the training. |
