Accordingly, it is a policy of the BSAC that people convicted of criminals acts of a sexual or violent nature against, or otherwise involving children, may not be Members of the organisation and that, in particular, such persons will not have contact with young BSAC students in any form whatsoever. Additionally, and as a condition of Membership, the BSAC has instituted basic screening for criminal activity of this nature for all who wish to join the BSAC or renew their Membership. The BSAC reserves the right to follow up such declarations by asking for specific criminal record checks on this subject to be made with the relevant authorities.
